Can Eating The Best Food For Healthy Skin Make Your Skin Better?

So many women spend so much time searching for the best food for healthy skin. They are under the impression that you can eat for skin health and that if you eat the right foods for healthy skin then that will ensure a great looking complexion right into old age. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

However the bad news is that there is no list that you will find of healthy food for healthy skin, that will give you a wonderful looking complexion simply by eating those foods.

You know the formula well I’m sure. You need to reduce your intake of salt and sugar, eat less saturated fat and eat more vegetables and fruit. Drink alcohol in moderation, do more exercise, don’t smoke and drink more water. Doing all that will improve your overall health and will also improve the health of your skin. If you spend your time on the couch eating pizzas and burgers it’s difficult to have great looking skin.

Just about everyone knows this, but few actually achieve it because it isn’t that easy to do. It’s hard to resist that super-sized burger or that extra bucket of chips or that sugary soft drink. You know what you should be doing but you don’t usually do it.

Exactly the same thing applies to anyone who is looking to eat foods for healthier skin. There’s no secret list of special foods that will improve the health of your skin if you eat them, particularly if you keep eating those pizzas and burgers.

Here is a simple recipe, follow it and you should improve your skin health over time. Not only that but you will get healthier as well. But it’s not necessarily easy.

1. Eat less salt. Eat less sugar. Eat less saturated fat.

2. Eat more fruit and more vegetables.

3. Drink more water and drink less alcohol.

4. Get fitter by exercising more.

5. If you smoke then stop.

6. Don’t get sunburned and don’t expose your skin to ultraviolet radiation in summer in the middle of the day.

If you do those 6 things then you will, over a period of time, get healthier and your skin will get healthier as well.

There’s 2 more things that you can also do to improve on this recipe. The first is to take a daily dose of omega 3 fatty acid supplements, particularly those that include lycopene. These are now available.

It has been shown that lycopene promotes some natural skin sun protection and can also reverse skin sun damage. As damage to your skin from excess UV exposure over time is one of the principal causes of premature skin aging this is good news.

And the second thing to do is to use the very highest quality natural skin care products every day. Natural skin care products really do work better.

So the bad news is that there is no secret list of the best foods for healthier skin. Eating for great skin health is the same as eating for great general health.
